An artist is a soul with the ability to communicate reality in a way that simultaneously fits and breaks the patterns of the reality he sees surrounding him. He is able to capture fleeting images of his broken world and share them with those of us who need help traveling on the same path. The best artists are those who are able to fully immerse themselves in both worlds at once. Such an artist was Charlie Russell.
