This idea was spone early one morning while trailing cattle to summer range in the Big Horn Mountains. The sun was just coming up when this cowboy turned in his saddle to see the site.

Working summer cattle is a job best done in the wee hours of the day, before the heel flies and the heat have a chance to join the crew. In order to get his job done, a cowboy needs to rise in the dead of night, shake himself out of his dream world, and saddle his horse in the dark so he can make himself a hand for the day that lies ahead. Oftentimes, his only payback for this sacrifice of comfort is the satisfaction of a job well done and a long look back at what the good Lord has made.
